Abstract Casting Polishing and Patina Bronze Statue

There are two main casting processes commonly used, lost-wax casting process and sand casting process. The importance of this casting process in the production of metal sculptures is that it can replicate the intricate details of the original design. And the complex casting production process requires skillful craftsmanship.

This sculpture shows an abstract cartoon figure. The overall height of the sculpture is 200cm and it is cast in bronze with two different finishes, polished and patina, with gold and black creating visual elements of contrast. Bronze is known for its durability and corrosion resistance, making it an ideal material for this artwork. Bronze casting is a widely used technique in the production of metal sculptures, dating back thousands of years.
