In late July, the Yili Group joined with the Not Gallery to create “An Examination of the Drowning” on the seaside of Weihai, Shangdong province.ย The sea level is rising as a result of excessive carbon emissions in human life, flooding school desks and eventually our lives.
A 6.5 metre high desk sculpture stands in the shallow sea, with rows of smaller desks lined up in a timeline, gradually submerged by theย sea.ย Thisย test is called “0 Carbon Future”, calling people protecting the earth and the ecological environment. Low carbon living for a better future.
