Fiberglass can be used to make sculptures of various shapes and sizes with a high degree of design freedom. Moreover, it can resist the effects of UV rays, wind and rain and other natural environments, and has good weather resistance. In addition, the production process of fiberglass sculpture is relatively short and lightweight, which makes it easy for transportation as well as on-site installation.
This OX cartoon figure is one of the important art masterpieces of artist Andy Lau. The sculpture consists of OX figures and a moon shaped light fixture, which are firmly assembled together by mounting 304 stainless steel flanges with bolts. The whole artwork is made of fiberglass and fabric, which is installed outdoors and exhibited in the Free Space of the West Kowloon Cultural District in Hong Kong.
