This recently completed sculpture is made of copper and crafted through a hand forging process. It has a very nice looking exterior with a natural color created by the chemical patina process.
To create such a copper sculpture, we continued to use the common hand forging process. A foam model was created from the 3d model file provided by the artist. Then, after calculation and analysis, it was divided into several parts for panel cutting and forging. When forging each panel, our craftsman have to compare the model strictly to make sure the sculpture shape is accurate. Then the forged panels are spliced and welded together, polished and smoothed. Finally, patina surface treatment is treated.
Forged copper sculpture is suitable for both outdoor sculpture and indoor sculpture, because of its high strength and corrosion resistance, so it is strong enough and long-lasting.
